Pound cake with cream cheese and pineapple



*Ingredients

duncan hines butter recipe cake mix
°1 C
cake flour
°1 C
sugar
°1 C
sour cream, room temperature
°1 stick
butter, room temperature
°5
eggs, room temperature
°1/4 cup
oil
°1/4 cup
the water
°1 teaspoon
vanilla extract
°1 teaspoon
butter flavor
°1 teaspoon
almond extract
+ICING
°2c
Granulated sugar
°1/4 cup
lemon juice
 
* Methods

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray the tube generously with Baker's Joy.

Mix the cake ingredients together until smooth. Do not overmix.

Pour batter into pan and bake for 55-65 minutes until set (use fork or toothpick test). Leave to cool for about 10 to 15 minutes and return to the serving dish.

While cake cools, stir in powdered sugar and lemon juice until desired texture. It's just a glaze, so it should be a thick consistency of nectar.

Pour the frosting over the cake a little at a time, spreading it with the back of a spoon, letting it soak into the still warm cake.

Serve warm or at room temperature.....it doesn't matter!
